## The story

The first time someone paused live TV with a Bathroom Break DVR, the whole family gasped. Bathroom breaks no longer required shouting. It could record two shows at once, which ended years of arguments over who got the TV on Thursday nights. Fast-forwarding through ads felt like a superpower, and nobody ever went back.

## Fun fact

Families fought over hard drive space, and some kids recorded their shows under fake names to dodge deletion.
