## The story

Hanging up a flip phone was an art form. A gentle click meant goodbye. A firm snap meant this conversation is over. The ultimate move was the one-handed flick shut, practiced in mirrors across the country. Older siblings scored each other's snaps like gymnastics judges, and a perfect ten echoed down the hallway.

## Fun fact

Snapping a phone shut too hard occasionally sent the battery flying, which still counted as a successful hang-up.
