## The story

Danny's basement was the headquarters of everything: a lumpy futon, a beanbag shaped like a baseball, and a giant TV with a game console wired up with three controller extension cords. The crew rented movies on Friday, played split-screen racing until 2 AM, and survived on frozen pizza snacks and orange soda. Mom checked hourly for signs of life.

## Fun fact

The futon in Danny's basement was never once folded into a couch, and nobody knew if it still could.
