## The story

The Hightop Hotrod looked like someone's basketball shoe had grown wheels and run away. It zipped down hallways, laces flapping, and did donuts on the kitchen floor. The light-up sole flashed every time it braked. Dogs hated it, cats feared it, and grandparents always asked whose shoe was loose.

## Fun fact

Parking it next to a real sneaker fooled exactly one dog, who barked at both for a full hour.
