## The story

Recess Report felt like grown-up news, except the anchors were twelve and the top story was usually about a llama loose in a cul-de-sac. Anchor Tamika Booth signed off every week with a brand-new handshake. Teachers taped episodes for current events class, so watching it at home technically counted as homework.

## Fun fact

Viewers mailed in so many handshake ideas that the studio stored the letters in an old canoe.
