## The story

Moms pushed the coffee table aside, kids joined in, and the whole living room became the savanna for forty-five minutes. Instructor Rita Ravello shouted animal names before each move: flamingo stretch, hippo squat, cheetah jog. The tape always wore out first at the cheetah part, where everyone rewound to catch her famous pratfall.

Rita's leopard-print leotard was the most copied costume at that year's neighborhood costume parade.
