## The story

Wave Pool Countdown broadcast live from a floating stage in the middle of a waterpark wave pool, so fans floated past on inner tubes waving foam fingers. Host Kenji Starr wore a different shiny jacket every day and never once fell in. Getting your inner tube on camera was the after-school dream of every tween with a swimsuit.

## Fun fact

The wave machine switched on by accident during one live show, and the host finished the countdown completely soaked.
