The story of Drill-Top Coconut

The Drill-Top Coconut was a fresh young coconut trimmed into a clean white cone with a pull-ring top. You popped it open, stuck in a straw and drank cold coconut water straight from the source. Beachgoers carried them like trophies, and everyone posed holding one in front of the ocean. Scooping out the soft coconut meat was the bonus round.

Fun fact

Drinking the whole coconut without coming up for air was considered a perfect beach day achievement.
