The story of Tri-Whirl Spinner
For one spring, every pocket in every classroom held a Tri-Whirl. Kids balanced them on noses, passed them spinning hand to hand and timed spins under the desk. Teachers posted bans on classroom doors by May. The galaxy finish and the glow version traded like rare coins at recess.
The record on our street was a four-minute spin, set by a kid who never revealed his technique.
