The story of The Eternal Buffer Wheel
Right as the big twist arrived, the screen froze and the little circle started spinning. Everyone in the room groaned, someone walked toward the router like a hero, and somebody else suggested turning it off and on again. Sometimes the wheel spun for seconds, sometimes for an eternity. Nobody ever truly recovered from the finale that buffered.

Families invented waiting games for the buffer, like humming the theme song until the picture came back.
