The technique was precise: digital camera held high above your head, eyes looking up, a peace sign optional. The flash bounced off the bathroom mirror half the time. Kids took ninety tries to get one good shot, then edited it with a sparkly border and a tint of pink.
Kids with longer arms were considered professional photographers and got booked solid every Friday night.
