The story of Triple-Tap Texting
Every letter took effort. The letter S meant pressing seven four times, and a typo meant starting over. Kids grew legendary thumb speed, texting under desks without looking. Messages shrank into codes, with letters dropped and vowels optional. Grownups typed one word a minute and signed every text with their full name.
The fastest texters at school held secret races, typing a whole sentence while the teacher wrote one on the board.
