The story of Number Grid Fever
Suddenly everyone carried a little puzzle book, even grandpa. Every grid had nine rows, nine columns and one single solution. Kids raced each other at lunch, erasing so hard they ripped the page. The expert level was rumored to be impossible, until a quiet kid finished one on the bus and became famous.
Pencils were mandatory, because solving in pen was considered either genius or reckless, and nobody knew which.
