The story of Ninety-Minute Brunch Wait
Every Sunday, families stood on a crowded sidewalk holding a buzzing plastic coaster for the Ninety-Minute Brunch Wait. Kids sat on the curb and played phone games while grown-ups debated leaving. Nobody ever left. Once inside, you got a stack of lemon ricotta pancakes, a jar of jam and the strong feeling you had earned it.
The buzzer coasters sometimes went off by accident, sending a whole sidewalk of families rushing for the door.
