The story of Propped-Up Tablet
Saturday morning cartoons were no longer just for Saturday. Kids leaned a tablet against the cereal box and watched shows whenever they wanted, pausing between bites. The screen got sprinkled with milk and smudged with sticky fingers. Somebody always knocked it over reaching for the sugar. The cartoons kept playing face down on the table.
Most family tablets had at least one crusty cereal piece stuck permanently in the corner of the case.
