The story of Slow-Rise Marshmallows
Slow-Rise Marshmallows rode the squishy toy craze straight into the candy aisle. Each fat marshmallow was shaped like a smiling peach, cloud or bun, and it slowly puffed back into shape after you pressed it flat. People recorded the rise in slow motion, pressed them again and again, and occasionally forgot they were food.
Pressing one more than twenty times turned it into a sad flat disk, which kids called a retired squishy.
