The story of Sudden Thirst
Sudden Thirst came in a wide-mouth plastic bottle the size of your head. Coaches poured it into paper cones at halftime, and parents bought it by the case. It stained your mouth red, so you could always tell who had been to practice. The orange slices were great, but Sudden Thirst was the real reward.
Every team had one kid who saved their bottle all season and refilled it with tap water.
