The story of Yardstick Pops
Yardstick Pops were three feet of frozen sugar in a plastic sleeve. They came one per box, and the box barely fit in the freezer. Kids conducted pretend orchestras with them until they cracked, then ate the pieces. Halfway through, they melted down your arm, but quitting a Yardstick Pop was not an option on this street.
The best trick was folding a Yardstick Pop into a zigzag in the freezer, which made it snap into perfect bites.
