The story of Syrup Wall Italian Soda
Grown-ups went to the Ground Floor Coffeehouse for espresso, but kids went for the Syrup Wall Italian Soda. Behind the counter stood dozens of syrup bottles, from raspberry to toasted marshmallow. You picked three, the barista sighed, and out came a tall glass of sweet fizz with a cloud of cream on top. It felt incredibly sophisticated.
The most popular kid combo was cherry, vanilla and blue raspberry, which turned a color the menu called Mystery.
