The story · 2004
Waddlebot was the hottest gift of the holidays, partly because it could belly slide across a kitchen floor at alarming speed. Clap twice and it started dancing, flapping its flippers to a tinny beat. Clap three times and it squawked right back at you. Parents learned not to clap during movies.
Any loud bang set off dance mode, including a dropped roasting pan, which made one Thanksgiving unforgettable.
Six finishes
Waddlebot comes in six finishes: 100 Base, 50 Holo, 25 Laser and 10 Gold copies, plus one Super Laser and one Misprint that exist exactly once. Every copy is minted to the wallet that rips it, with its own serial number.
