The story · 1990
Hold it straight, slap it on your wrist, and the Whap Band curled into a bracelet with a satisfying thwack. Kids wore six at once and slapped them on each other's arms in the hallway. The cheap ones split open and exposed the metal, which is how a ban notice reached every classroom.
The cheetah print band was so popular that one school banned only the cheetah ones.
Six finishes
Whap Bands comes in six finishes: 100 Base, 50 Holo, 25 Laser and 10 Gold copies, plus one Super Laser and one Misprint that exist exactly once. Every copy is minted to the wallet that rips it, with its own serial number.
