The story of Breakfast for Dinner Night
Nobody planned it. A parent would open the fridge, sigh and say breakfast for dinner. Kids cheered like it was a holiday. Pancakes came out at seven in the evening, cereal was poured in pajamas, and the rules about sugary boxes quietly disappeared. It felt like getting away with something, even though the parents had started it.
Kids who asked for breakfast for dinner two nights in a row were almost always told no, then usually told yes.
