The story of Mystery Swirl Oatmeal
Every box had eight silver packets with no flavors printed on them. You poured, added water and watched the crystals swirl into a color: red meant strawberry, purple meant grape, and green meant something nobody could identify. Families held guessing contests at the counter. The green ones became legendary.
A color guide was printed inside the box, but most kids ripped it up to keep the mystery alive.
