The story of Bus Stop Bars
Bus Stop Bars were basically marshmallow crispy treats, but the box said breakfast, so parents allowed it. Each one came in a crinkly wrapper with a frosting drizzle in a different color. Kids ate them standing at the bus stop in the cold, one hand on the bar and the other gripping a backpack strap. The wrapper always got stuck to the frosting.
Squishing the bar flat before eating it made it last twice as long, according to every middle schooler.
