The story of Scooter Swirls
Dex the ostrich rode a folding kick scooter across every box, trucker hat on backwards and knees covered in pads. The cinnamon swirls were shaped like tiny scooter wheels and rolled right off the spoon. Kids folded the box back into a cardboard ramp. Every ankle in the neighborhood had a scooter bruise that summer, and every bowl had a swirl.
Dex's legs were drawn so long that his helmet never once fit on the front of the box.
