The story of Socks-and-Slides Combo

The socks-and-slides look started at swim practice and then refused to leave. Thick white crew socks pulled high, slides slapping against your heels, and you were ready for school, the mall or the grocery store. Parents protested. Then they tried it once, and every kitchen suddenly had two pairs by the door.
