The story of Can't-Sit-Down Skinnies
Skinnies were less like pants and more like a second layer of denim skin. Getting them on took hopping, jumping and occasionally a family member pulling the hems. Sitting cross-legged was out of the question. Phones did not fit in the pockets, which were mostly decorative. Everybody wore them anyway, with rolled cuffs and a scarf.
Kids timed each other putting on skinnies, and the class record was just under four minutes with assistance.
