The story of Spiderweb Screen Phone
The Brightling smartphone was gorgeous for about three weeks, until it slipped out of a back pocket in a parking lot. After that it wore a glittering spiderweb of cracks across the screen. Owners learned to swipe around the worst corner, read texts through the shattered part and tell everyone they were getting it fixed next week.
Fun fact
A small strip of clear tape over the worst crack was considered an official repair by most teenagers.
