The story of Butter Lagoon Tub
The Butter Lagoon was the biggest tub the theater sold, and it was more of a swimming pool. It came with free refills, a lid nobody used and a little line on the side marking the butter level. Families shared one through two whole movies. Somewhere in the middle, your arm vanished up to the elbow searching for the last kernels.
Fun fact
Some families brought the same tub back for refills every week until it was more heirloom than container.
