The story of Eat-the-Bowl Chowder
The bakery cafe at the mall made eating dishes legal. They carved the top off a round sourdough loaf, scooped out the middle and filled it with steaming chowder. You dunked the lid first, then worked down the soggy walls. Kids felt like cartoon giants eating their own plates, and the brave ones tried to finish every last crust.
One kid ate the bowl first and left a puddle of chowder on the tray, a strategy nobody ever tried twice.
