The story of Cinnamon Sugar Shaker
The Cinnamon Sugar Shaker was usually an old spice jar refilled with a homemade mix, and its holes were never the right size. Kids buttered toast edge to edge, then shook until the bread disappeared under a sandy brown crust. Licking the leftover sugar off the plate was considered part of the recipe, especially on snow days.
Some families had a strict ratio taped inside the cabinet, and some kids secretly ignored it every single morning.
