The story of Cut-Out Box Record
You had to empty the box first, which meant eating a lot of cereal very fast. Then you cut the shiny record off the back panel, poked the center hole with a pencil and set it on the turntable. The Crispy Kids sang one song, mostly about milk. It sounded like a robot singing through a sock, and it was perfect.
Playing it more than ten times wore the grooves smooth, so siblings negotiated strict listening schedules.
