The story of Cream Soda Floaties
Dee Dee, a sea lion in a paper soda jerk hat, balanced a float glass on her nose on every box. The puffs tasted like a diner soda fountain, and the marshmallow foam rose to the top just like the real thing. Kids drank the milk through a straw, slurping loudly, because the commercial said that was how it was done.
Mixing it with a splash of chocolate milk was called the Dee Dee Deluxe on playgrounds across three counties.
