The story of Dentist Buyback Night

Dentist Buyback Night turned every kid into a nervous businessperson. Dr. Lindqvist set up a scale in the office lobby and paid a dollar per pound for Halloween candy. Kids sat on the floor sorting piles, wrestling with the big question: keep the chocolate bars, or sell the lot and save for a new video game. The candy corn always went first.

Clever kids kept the full-size bars and sold the heaviest leftovers, including one brave kid who tried selling a pumpkin.
