Retsy Series 1 · Card 0275 · 80-FSH
Close the blinds on boring.
Plastic sunglasses with horizontal slats instead of lenses, which blocked about four percent of the sun.
The story · 1983
Mini Blind Shades looked like someone had shrunk the living room window and stuck it on your face. They did almost nothing against sunlight, but they were perfect for staring dramatically at the bus window. Neon frames were the standard, and the white pair was considered extremely serious business.
Kids tested them by trying to read through the slats, which mostly resulted in walking into lockers.
Six finishes
Mini Blind Shades comes in six finishes: 100 Base, 50 Holo, 25 Laser and 10 Gold copies, plus one Super Laser and one Misprint that exist exactly once. Every copy is minted to the wallet that rips it, with its own serial number.
80-FSH
Mini Blind Shades is one of 32 cards in the 80s Fashion & Style set. Here are the other 31.
