The story of Heel Hook Stirrups
Stirrup pants never wrinkled at the ankle because the little strap under your foot held them taut like a trampoline. Paired with an oversized sweater and a side ponytail, they were the uniform of every middle school hallway. The strap always slipped out of your shoe and dragged, which nobody mentioned.
Kids who wore stirrups backward discovered the strap made an excellent slingshot for erasers.
