The story of Windshield Glasses
Windshield frames were the biggest glasses ever made for a human face. Kids picked colors like translucent rose or smoky gray and wore them with total confidence. They slid down your nose constantly, so the most common move of the decade was the one-finger nose nudge. Picture day turned them into giant mirrors.
The frames were so wide that eye doctors joked about adding tiny wipers for rainy days.
