Retsy Series 1 · Card 0203 · 80-TOY
Office supplies by day. Heroes by... also day.
Small robots that folded into a stapler, a pencil sharpener and a tape dispenser for undercover homework missions.
The story · 1986
The Desk Duty team hid in plain sight on your school desk, which made them the only toys teachers never confiscated. Flip the arms, twist the waist, and the stapler became Commander Clamp. The tape dispenser robot never quite folded back right. Kids still argue about which one was strongest.
Commander Clamp could actually staple paper, which made him the only toy ever used to finish a book report.
Six finishes
Desk Duty Robots comes in six finishes: 100 Base, 50 Holo, 25 Laser and 10 Gold copies, plus one Super Laser and one Misprint that exist exactly once. Every copy is minted to the wallet that rips it, with its own serial number.
