The story · 1982
Solving the Muddle Melon meant lining up every black seed in one perfect row, and almost nobody ever did it. Kids peeled off the seed stickers and stuck them back on to fake a win. One kid on every school bus claimed he solved it in under a minute but never showed anyone.
The official solution booklet was forty pages long and still ended with the words 'good luck.'
Six finishes
The Muddle Melon comes in six finishes: 100 Base, 50 Holo, 25 Laser and 10 Gold copies, plus one Super Laser and one Misprint that exist exactly once. Every copy is minted to the wallet that rips it, with its own serial number.
