The story of Zap-n-Ding Microwave
Microwaves were brand new in a lot of kitchens, so the Zap-n-Ding felt incredibly futuristic. Twist the dial, press the button, and the plastic chicken leg spun under an orange light. When it dinged, you served dinner to every stuffed animal in the house. Little siblings fought over who pressed the button.
Kids put real cookies inside to warm them up, were always disappointed, and never stopped trying.
