The story of Ripcord Tornado Top
You threaded the plastic ripcord, held the launcher steady and yanked. The Tornado Top screamed across the kitchen floor, bouncing off table legs and chair feet. Kids held contests to see whose top lasted longest. The record on our street was over four minutes, though nobody actually owned a stopwatch.
Fun fact
Launching it on an upside-down cake pan made it sound like a tiny helicopter, which annoyed every parent equally.
