The story · 1988
One player held a pencil out by both ends while the other whacked down on it with theirs. Kids hunted for the thickest pencils in the house and gave their champions names. A real veteran pencil had dents all over and an eraser chewed down to nothing.
The undefeated pencil at one school was rumored to hide a secret metal core, which was never proven.
