The story of Pickle Scratch Stickers
Most sticker books were full of strawberry and grape, but the real status symbol was the pickle. It smelled so strong you could sniff it from across the bus. Kids scratched them bald, kept them in sandwich bags to stay fresh, and teachers handed them out only for perfect spelling tests.
A sticker scratched more than one hundred times stopped smelling like pickle and started smelling like an old lunchbox.
