Somebody stop that gourd!
An animated autumn special where a shy scarecrow had to catch a runaway pumpkin before trick-or-treat night.
The story · 1994
Pumpkin Patch Panic aired the week before trick-or-treat, early enough that little kids could watch it in costume. Scarecrow Hollis was scared of crows, the dark and his own shadow. His chase after Gourdon, a pumpkin with places to be, ended in a giant leaf pile and a song everyone sang on the bus.
The VHS release came with a cardboard scarecrow mask that every kid wore until it fell apart.
