The story of Waterbed of Doom

The cover showed a waterbed bulging with a face pressing up from inside, and every kid who rented it suddenly avoided sleepovers at their waterbed-owning friend's house. In the movie, the bed mostly gurgled, rolled a pillow off and once soaked the babysitter. The scariest sound effect was just someone blowing bubbles in a bucket.

Fun fact

The crew hid a kiddie pool under the bed and refilled it with a garden hose between takes.
