The story of Tapscribe PDA
Tapscribe owners wrote with a slim stylus, and the handwriting recognition turned meeting into melting about half the time. You could beam a business card to another Tapscribe by pointing them at each other like magic wands. The stylus vanished within a month, so most owners switched to a pen cap, a fingernail or a coffee stirrer.
Doodling on the gray screen during meetings was so common that bosses learned to listen for frantic tapping.
