The story of Teakettle Fax Machine
The Teakettle Fax sat in Dad's home office and let out a shrill whistle whenever it answered. Pages came out on slick paper that rolled up tighter than a party blower, and you had to pin it flat with books to read it. Kids faxed drawings to Grandma's office, and Grandma faxed back a smiley face every time.
Scratching the thermal paper with a fingernail left a dark streak, and bored kids drew entire pictures this way.
