The story of Four Square Dynasty
Every playground had a Four Square Dynasty, a kid who held the king square so long that the chalk lines faded around them. The king invented rules on the spot: no spins, only bus stops, around the world allowed on Fridays. Challengers waited in a long line, and toppling the king was the most famous thing that happened all year.
Deposed kings often claimed the ball was flat, demanded a recount and stormed off to the tetherball pole.
