The story · 1996
Every new homepage had at least one section marked coming soon, decorated with a striped sawhorse and a cartoon worker with a shovel. The links led nowhere. Weeks became years. Some pages stayed under construction so long that the construction graphic itself became the most beloved part of the site.
One homepage promised a new jokes section was coming soon for so long that its visitors started sending in their own.
Six finishes
Under Construction Forever comes in six finishes: 100 Base, 50 Holo, 25 Laser and 10 Gold copies, plus one Super Laser and one Misprint that exist exactly once. Every copy is minted to the wallet that rips it, with its own serial number.
