The story of Going Out to Nowhere
Going Out to Nowhere followed strict rules. A classmate passed a note asking if you would go out with someone. You checked yes, no or maybe. Then you were officially together, which meant sitting at different lunch tables and never making eye contact. Breakups arrived through the same classmate about three days later, usually by folded note.
The average relationship lasted about as long as a pack of gum, and the gum usually got split more fairly.
